MY APPROACH

PEOPLE-FIRST

Accessibility, inclusivity, a sense of belonging, and collaboration are at the forefront of how I show up and how I approach leading teams and planning and executing events.

DATA-DRIVEN

I use metrics to inform my decisions, and I am driven by results. All the while staying centered on the people those decisions impact.

TECHNOLOGY FORWARD

I constantly seek ways to enhance experiences and strategies by researching the latest technologies, working and collaborating with individuals and teams to exchange knowledge, and diving deep into my curiosity.

STRENGTHS

  • Transforming events through empathetic experience design!

My work is driven by a dedication to empathy, results, and creating moments that resonate deeply with audiences. I aim to craft events that prioritize the participants' needs, feelings, context, and mindsets.

No matter the activation, my unwavering commitment is to ensure that the people we design for and work with are at the heart of every success.

At Columbia University, I studied music and sound perception to focus on how our brains respond to sound. My goal was to understand music on a biological level to create immersive sonic experiences that connect with listeners' emotions and their daily lives. To that end, I apply this framework when designing large or small in-person, virtual, hybrid, or on-demand events. This attention to detail ensures that each touchpoint has the potential to build long-lasting, memorable moments.

  • As event professionals, we recognize that managing the unexpected is inevitable, and knowing how to respond is paramount. To successfully transform potential event disruptions into opportunities, I embrace a MacGyver Mindset.

The essence of a MacGyver Mindset is a state of perception, which includes:

    1. Willingness: Being open to possibilities and embracing different ways of thinking, seeing, and doing. This involves optimism, curiosity, and a desire to try.

    2. Pragmatism: Understanding that what you have to work with is what you’ve got, and you make it work, or at least try.

    3. Persistence: Not giving up just because you don’t have the right tools or resources. You look at the existing resources and figure out how to get them to be the right ones.

MacGyver repeatedly teaches us that chance favors a calm, cool, and prepared mind. More often than not, this philosophy makes turning seemingly impossible situations around quite doable.
